The journeys never end, It is true, but somewhere you have to stop to rest, admire the landscape, the road travelled… to imagine how to proceed.
We find ourselves at a crossroads, one of those crossroads that happen many times in life. One of those crossroads where it makes sense to stop: find a beautiful stone – comfortable, but not too much!- sit and reflect.
For Aśvattha they were 11 busy years, rich, overwhelming. Years of research, of sharing. Of practice.

darśana – Visions it is a project born in the midst of the excitement of those years, when we felt the need, the urgency, the desire, to expand the path of practice, to explore it through other avenues, other voices.

Thus the meetings were born, which then became a path. They were born from the intense exchange with Silvia Patrizio – which is to all intents and purposes part of Aśvattha and to which we will always be grateful for having guided and accompanied us in this exploration – and they continued, as is normal, from the wishes of those who participated. They continued by expanding the field of research, exploring interests, dismantling comforts to seek new inconveniences.

When we started with Darśana Vol. 1 we didn't really have in mind where this journey would take us. The path is made by walking, eat says Machado, and so we have arrived at Vol. 4. Right: There are crossroads on the path, and at the crossroads you choose. It is these choices that make the journey. This is how we got to today from the 1st volume, choosing.
So what to choose for the Vol. 5?

The choice seemed simple to us, more an urgency than a choice. The urgency of filling what we believe is missing: not for any claim of exhaustiveness, but for the sake of coherence. We want to limit, we want to draw a line. We want to choose where to stop.
The Vol. 5 it will be our border. It will be the connection between yesterday and today: will try to keep together the questions we started with, and the questions we have arrived at. This path will close, this main road that we have traced and from which other crossroads have arisen and new paths have started.

The choice to self-limit is the conscious desire to avoid the natural predisposition to “reproduce”, or to repeat itself, to suffer the industrial pressure of the assembly line where anyone who stops is lost.
We always wanted to get lost!

So with Darśana Vol. 5 we stop. But we stop to take stock and therefore we will close this long journey with a round table that will see in dialogue all the voices that have accompanied us in recent years.

This time we'll do things big, so a nice full weekend, a weekend of celebration that of 1-2 June.

Saturday 1 June we will dedicate it to the last module, il 5^, theme modern yoga, or “what we talk about when we talk about yoga Today“. And we will do it with the help of Marco Passavanti, Silvia Patrizio and Daniela Bevilacqua.
Sunday 2 June we will retrace the path of these years, reviewing the salient points and contradictions that emerged, we will collect the questions and try to put everything on the table, with Silvia, Marco, Daniela and obviously also Laura Liberale, the one who inaugurated Darśana.

A sharing event, which traces the line of this path but gives glimpses of possible new future paths.

As in the cover image, from the reportage created by Alberto years ago: a look at the road traveled and one at the road still to be travelled.
