After some years of absence we are pleased to once again host the Friend Charles Donini of Dharmayogakaruna for a series of meetings dedicated to meditation.

 

The Four Noble Truths and the Noble Eightfold Path of the Buddha

Friday 6 December, 24 January
by 19 to 21 at Asvattha

 

The first two meetings will refer to the teaching and practice of the Four Noble Truths and the Noble Eightfold Path. The third meeting will be dedicated to the practice of Anapanasati, breath awareness.

The Four Noble Truths (without. catvāri-Arya-satyāni, Pali ariya-saccani Cattari) They represent the first teaching of Siddhartha Gautama to his first five disciples, held at the Deer Park in Sarnath, near the city of Varanasi at the age of 35 years, forty-nine days after that near the village of Gaya (Today Bodhgaya in Bihar) He had achieved spiritual awakening thus becoming a Buddha. This was the first time the Dharmachakra, The Dharma Wheel, his teachings.
The Four Noble Truths are the core of Dharma; we find these teachings in the Pali Canon Dhammacakkapavattanasutta Samyuttanikaya.
The Four Noble Truths are truths to think I'm not the "absolute; it is important to understand this, The Noble Truths are not a kind of metaphysical truth, I am the way to the cessation of suffering.

The meetings will be held Friday from 19 to 21 at our center during the evenings of Asvattha 6 December, 24 January and 21 February. Admission is restricted to members and to the members of the association and provides a contribution to responsible supply.

 

anapanasati Sutta
The Sutra of the Full Awareness of Breathing

Friday 21 February

Il Sutra Ānāpānasati, or Sutra on the Full Awareness of Breathing, These are the sixteen exercises for the practice of conscious breathing.
“The Full Awareness of Breathing, if you developed and practiced continuously according to these teachings, will bear fruit and will be of great benefit”.
