Training “Yoga e Parkinson”

 

The proposed training is primarily aimed at Yoga teachers who are interested, or who need, to form on the use of yoga to people with Parkinson's disease but it is also open to practitioners and care professionals in the field of rehabilitation and physiotherapy. Recent studies show that, especially for Parkinson's Disease, rehabilitation is very effective in terms of neuroprotection, neuroplasticità e neurogenesi. Therefore it is very important to be able to teach the practice of yoga to people who find themselves in this situation, especially by offering alternative and complementary interventions to traditional therapies already in use.

The training event is organized by our association in collaboration with the Asvattha Casa di Cura Villa Margherita in Vicenza, which will house the entire course, and it will deal with the scientific part of the training. Villa Margherita, In fact, inserted within the network of Fresco Parkinson Institute as a "Center for Parkinson's disease and movement disorders"

The training program will consist of two full days, Saturday 16 is Sunday 17 March, morning and afternoon for a total hours of 12 ore.

PROGRAM

SATURDAY 16 March – by 10-13 and from 14-17

scientific form – the Villa Margherita experts will address briefly:

• the scientific basis of the disease and the differential diagnosis between the different clinical phenotypes
• motor symptoms and non-motor Parkinson's Disease
• update on drug therapy and advanced therapies (Duodopa PEJ e DBS)
• role of rehabilitation in M. in Parkinson
• alternative-complementary interventions in the M. in Parkinson
• Also practical suggestions for caregivers

practical element – Dance Well Giovanna Garzotto

• the experience of Dance Well Villa Margherita
• experience of a pipeline from the classroom teacher Giovanna Garzotto with the patients of Villa Margherita and / to course participants.

 

SUNDAY 17 March – by 10 to 13 and from 14-17
practical element – Yoga Cristina Bet

• Yoga: an alternative approach
• introduction to the experience of Yoga with Parkinson's patients
• practice Asana specific
• pranayama and importance of breath / meditation
• the caregiver
• Practice yoga class led by Cristina Bet with possible participation of patients in hospital
• questions and time for discussion.

Yoga Teacher – Cristina Bet: Yoga teacher and rehabilitation therapist.

Dance Well Teacher – Giovanna Garzotto: dancer and choreographer is a teacher and tutor, in the project "Dance Well – movement research for Parkinson”.

Contributions of participation

Participation fees for the two full days for a total of hours 12 (excluding meals):

• Participants: 90 € inclusive of membership card;
• Caregivers: free.

Maximum Number of Participants: 30 of which up to 5 caregivers.
Maximum hours permitted day of absence: 3 its 12 ore.

At the end of the course you will receive a certificate of participation.
The course is valid for recognition of continuing education credits for members YANI.

As a result of filling out the form you will receive an email address info@asvattha.it with directions to complete registration.
The course is intended for members and to the members of Asvattha ASD, affiliated CSEN.
It is therefore open to any and all CSEN members who have renewed their membership card for the fiscal year 2018/2019 Also at another center. In that case, simply indicate this on the registration form and bring their membership card the day of the event.
For non-members / a CSEN (are invalid other affiliations) you can join in making Asvattha request as indicated on the form.

To facilitate procedures, the membership fee is, however, already included in the contribution 90,00 EUR of the training course.
The membership card entitles you to participate in all activities of the center and the lessons.
